Dr. Dan Sable, president of VPT Incorporated and chairman of the Space@VT Advisory Board, presents a check for $15,000 to Space@VT as the inaugural member of the corporate affilates program. Those present include (right to left) Dr. Dan Sable, Dr. James Thorp, head of the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Dr. Scott Bailey and Dr. Wayne Scales, Space@VT faculty members, and Dr. Richard Benson, Dean of the Virginia Tech College of Engineering.

The Center for Space Science and Engineering at Virgina Tech (Space @ VT) currently offers an affiliates program for private corporations. The affiliate programs are individually designed to provide mutual benefit to both the corporate affiliate as well as Space@VT.
